National Library Presents "From Love And Death" |
MADRID, SPAIN.- The Spanish National Library presents the exhibition "From Love And Death - Drawings and Etchings from the National Library", on view through May 12, 2002. Love and Death have been two important themes in art and literature for a long time and they have also inspired many masterpieces. The great painters created images of great beauty. These images were reproduced thanks to etching all over the Western world. The great painters of etchings such as Durero, Rembrandt or Goya made many pasterpieces that impress for their beauty and explosive force. This exhibition presents 104 etchings and drawings chosen from the thousands that exist at the National Library's collection.
