Collectors rush to cast bids boosting $1.22 million art glass auction
The auction was carefully curated to include a select group of Art Deco and Art Nouveau items of interest to fine glass collectors. The Flowers, 1898, a set of four lithographs by famed Czech artist Alphonse Mucha, sold for $22,500.

DALLAS, TX.- An impressive amount of pre-bidding activity preceded Heritage Auctions’ Tiffany, Lalique & Art Glass Auction Nov. 21 before sale architect and auctioneer Nick Dawes even took to the podium. More than 1,250 bids were cast before the sale even started – a record amount for the 368-lot auction.

“The job of every auctioneer is to attract as many bids as possible,” Dawes said. “We did a great job.”

Tiffany Studios lamps took top lot honor, with a Tiffany Studios Leaded Glass and Bronze Daffodil Table Lamp, circa 1915, bringing $43,750.
