KHARTOUM, SUDAN.- French Henri Loyrette, director of Louvre Museum, gave a press conference in Khartoum, 22 December 2004. Loyrette also received a gift from the Sudanese Museum. On March 28, 2001, the French government announced the appointment of Henri Loyrette, head of the Orsay Museum, to be the new director of the Louvre Museum.
