Fine art from the estate of Eunis and Douglas Goodan heads to auction

LOS ANGELES, CA.- An impressive array of California plein air paintings from the estate of Eunice and Douglas Goodan, grandson of renowned Los Angeles Times publisher and American investor Harry Chandler, will be auctioned on March 1 by Abell Auction Company in Los Angeles. Live bids will be accepted online and at the gallery (2613 Yates Ave.) starting at 10 a.m. PST.

The Goodan collection comes from residences in Cambria, Pasadena and Montecito, Calif., and features artists such Benjamin C. Brown, Maurice Braun, Jessie Arms Botke and Raoul de Longpre, among others. Abell is also proud to present a collection of 18th and 19th century English portrait paintings from the estate of Mary Carlise, an American actress, singer and dancer best known for her roles in 1930s musical-comedy films.

A stunning array of fine art, antique and contemporary furniture, decorative arts and jewelry from other prominent Southern California estates also will be offered.
