Only Relic From Solomon's Temple Declared a Forgery

JERUSALEM.- The Israel Museum announced that the ivory pomegranate that was thought to be the only relic from Solomon's Temple is a forgery. Officials also announced that this coming week there will be indictments handed down. The Justice Ministry announced that Israeli collector Oded Golan is one of the persons to be indicted is.

According to experts, the pomegranate dates to the Bronze period, around 3,400 years ago. It has an inscription in ancient Hebrew lettering that reads: ''Belonging to the Temple of the Lord (Yahweh), holy to the priests.'' But the inscription was added recently.
