Dickinson announces virtual initiatives
For those looking to recreate the experience of a visit to 58 Jermyn street, Dickinson has worked with MasterArt to produce a 360° tour of the gallery rooms.

LONDON.- As the world adapts to a period of limited travel, Dickinson has expanded its digital communication channels to keep in touch with clients and the wider art world community. Dickinson can offer access to the gallery’s expertise and extensive inventory through a number of online initiatives, including bespoke virtual viewing rooms, a series of online exhibitions, weekly Insights and a bi-weekly newsletter. Dickinson is well-versed in operating behind closed doors, having offered clients a discreet private sales service for over 25 years.

‘Although nothing will replicate the importance and pleasure of seeing great art work in the flesh, we hope our online initiatives will provide our clients with an avenue to engage with the work we are offering for sale as well allow them access to our team’s extensive knowledge and expertise.’ Emma Ward, Managing Director

Online Exhibition Series: Raising Money for Health Services
Showcased on the Dickinson website and on the gallery’s Artsy page, Dickinson’s series of digital exhibitions includes 20 under 20 in 2020, featuring 20 works by Old Master and 19th Century artists offered for under £20,000 (ends 30 April). The gallery is donating 20% of its profits from any sales to support the NHS Charities Together Campaign. The next virtual exhibition, launched 30 April, focuses on Modern and Contemporary works with 20% of profits going to Whitman-Walker Health in Washington, D.C. The gallery plans to continue staging digital exhibitions throughout the lockdown period.

Dickinson Virtual Viewing Room: Bespoke, On-Request Service
Clients are able to request access to individually designed virtual viewing rooms featuring Dickinson’s extensive scholarly research, detailed photographs, and other relevant material. The virtual gallery rooms communicate a sense of the scale and wall-power of each painting by replicating the interiors of Dickinson’s Mayfair premises.

Insights: Weekly Articles Exploring the Art Market
Dickinson offers specialist knowledge and expertise from an impressive team of experienced art professionals. During this period, Dickinson is releasing weekly Insights in the form of short articles exploring aspects of art history and the commercial art market. Recent topics include a discussion of Panini and the Pantheon as well as light-hearted tips on How to Cope with Quarantine, based on works currently offered for sale. Future Insights will include advice on collection management and a consideration of paintings emerging from stately homes.

Virtual Tour: Dickinson’s Mayfair Gallery
For those looking to recreate the experience of a visit to 58 Jermyn street, Dickinson has worked with MasterArt to produce a 360° tour of the gallery rooms. Together with the virtual tours of Dickinson’s stands at recent art fairs, the virtual gallery tour will allow viewers to see available works hanging in situ, and request a bespoke virtualviewing room for any pieces that appeal.
