With the social distancing in place, many of us are looking for art exhibits that can be enjoyed outside. Sculptural exhibits or other type of venues seem ideal to get a fix of inspiration while keeping safe. We have been following art and travel influencers to get some inspiration on which top art exhibits we can enjoy outdoors:

1. Socrates Sculpture Park: For those who are looking for a quick escape from the city into a quirky destination to fuel your imagination, Socrates Sculpture Park has the most unique display of statues from contemporary artists and local youths. What is surprising to know is that this beautiful park also offers one of the most unique yoga class experiences where you can enjoy outdoor river views and glorious sculptures while reciting your mantras.

In summer time, you may find many NYC art influencers in Socrates Sculpture Park for outdoor movie screenings with the backdrop of gorgeous city views. The movies experience ranges from foreign films, to pre-movie music and dance performances, and cuisine from each film’s country of origin.

2. Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden: Located in NYC, this sculptural garden seems to be a perfect escape from a noisy city life into an art lover’s paradise. The sculpture garden was extensively reconstructed in 2004 by Japanese architect Yoshio Taniguchi. It has a large fountain as the focal point of the garden, and it is lined with trees and shrubs. The garden carries works by Picasso, Rodin, Ernst and Miró.

3. Griffis Sculpture Park: Graffis is one of the largest sculpture parks in the U.S. with 450 acres of land and over 250 different works of art. The part is organized in two parts; one is an enormous type of sculptures that tower over vegetation and the other is a Mill Valley Road Site that provides walking paths through different type of landscapes. The park was founded by Larry Griffis Junior in 1966, and its mission has been to promote interactive art as well as enjoy work while exploring nature.

4. Kykuit (The Rockefeller Estate): As many art and travel influencers will agree, Kykuit estate has a stunning architecture, history, and landscaping as well as exceptional 20th century sculptures. It is located in the breathtaking area of the Hudson River Valley. It features works by Picasso, Calder and David Smith, to name a few.
