4th annual Madison Avenue Gallery Walk welcomes all art lovers to view fall exhibitions

NEW YORK, NY.- The 4th Annual Madison Avenue Gallery Walk on Saturday, October 24, is one of the most anticipated highlights of the fall art season in New York. It is a must for art lovers, and free and open to the public by registration at madisonavenuegallerywalk.com. Art enthusiasts will be able to visit participating galleries to view their fall exhibitions, and attend expert talks led by artists and curators on Madison Avenue and its adjacent side streets from East 57th Street to East 86th Street between 11am and 5 pm.

Over 25 renowned galleries listed below will offer this special opportunity to see premier art on view during New York’s Art Month on Madison Avenue this October, and become further informed as to the exhibition highlights and discussions on the artists and their work. All programming details can be found on the website, making it easy to select what is of interest and schedule an appointment. There is an international, impressive range of talks and exhibitions for every taste.




Arader Galleries focuses on the late 18th to 19th-centuries, with city views from the Golden Age of American Printmaking by John Bachmann, John Bornet, Frances Bond Palmer and John William Hill. “Primitivism and Modern India Art” at DAG showcases works by some of the most recognized Indian masters. FreedmanArt will host a talk on “Shadowboxing,” their exhibition joining the work of photographer Nona Faustine and painter Kit White to grapple with our history, national monuments, and civil war. Galerie Gmurzynska gallery director Martin Friedrichs will give an introduction to its current exhibition, “Love is in the Air,” masterpieces by Robert Indiana, “Robert Indiana’s Work in the 1960s.” Hirschl & Adler Modern offers a talk on Elizabeth Turk, “Tipping Point – Echoes of Extinction,” a discussion on the internationally recognized sculptor’s latest body of work and its pressing environmental concerns. Ippodo Gallery Director Shoko Aono will give a short talk on the current exhibition “Through Her Eyes.” A love letter in memory of a friend and artist, this show reflects and memorializes the late Laura de Santillana and her life’s work. Levy Gorvy presents a major exhibition by renowned Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, in his first US presentation in a decade.
