David Alfaro Siqueiros, El Revolucionario, 1945.
MEXICO CITY.- Adriana Siqueros, daughter of Mexican artist David Alfaro Siqueiros, was interviewed by Proceso magazine regarding an FBI investigation on false works being sold in Chicago. Adriana Siqueiros is the only authorized person that can certify the authenticity of her fathers work. She stated if the works the FBI is investigating have her certificates, then they are works painted by her father. She was very surprised when the Proceso reporter told her about the FBI investigation, stating that she had no news about it. Julio Carrasco Bretón, president of the Mexican Society of Visual Artists, was also present at the interview and stated that he was not aware of the FBI investigation.
