It is nearly impossible to miss a home without a view master toy lying around somewhere between the bedroom and the backyard. The infamous red goggle-like device makes up the perfect diversion for one’s childhood life. The better part is that they are cool, inexpensive, and have a stunning long history. For the old folks, view master images was a treasure since they brought back memories of the past's memorable events. The truth remains that photos can never get replaced; they stand us the best-unwritten memoirs anyone can ever have. Today, digital gadgets such as smartphones with cameras and a cloud computer system have changed things immensely. But the fact remains that photos have become even more popular and easy to take.

Photos were so expensive and taken only during special events such as weddings and burial occasions; this is the opposite now. The 21st-century generation enjoys a more extensive ground of image creation and sharing. Compared to the view master images, Facebook's company Instagram has integrated features similar to those of the reel towards editing and viewing images. Being solely made to create and share pictures, Instagram has gained popularity as one of the best social platforms that bring together people of all walks of life to share their own experiences with the world.

What Makes a View-Master Fun to Have?
One of the most exciting things about this item is that it was and still is a simple device that can make one perceive a deeper understanding of what photography entails. It is amazing how the eye perceives two images taken from different angles as one. During the 1930s, people used to use souvenir postcards that were so boring. When William Gruber came up with this adroit concept of stereoscopic photography that incorporated two Kodak cameras in a single special tripod, things took a 360 turn. With what was called a view master, the simple device would produce a pair of images that could transform into 3D in a process referred to as stereopsis.

The introduction of talking view masters in the mid-80s took things to a whole new level. Many children whose fathers were in the view master photography joined the art owing to that. One would find that most of the renowned experienced photographers connect to the view master; likely, they were initially exposed to the view master experience. No child could resist the charming and nostalgic quasi-3d fun brought about by the view master.

In conclusion, just as the name dictates, the view master is the mastermind of all the photographic works done today. Since its inception in 1939, the view master has played a crucial role in shaping the filming and image capturing scene. Most of these digital devices present still use William Gruber’s concept in creating 3D images. Additionally, many filmmakers have not yet wholly shifted from the analog use of films in movie production owing to the fun brought about by it. However, things will have to change in the long-run, but the view master will remain as one device that transforms lives.
