Yahoo! ranks ArtDaily number one in art. Thanks!

We are very honored to know that Yahoo! -the number one site on the internet-  has given ArtDaily the first place when searching art.

Since the birth of this newspaper, the editors of Yahoo! have distinguished us in several occasions: two times as ’Pick of the Week’ and another time among the ’cool links’.

But yesterday as we browsed www.yahoo.com and wrote the word art to search, we saw something that we could not believe: of a total of 29,668 sites of the whole internet, ArtDaily appears in first place. Incredible...but true!

The excitement was great, our hearts beat faster. This was too much, an honor that surpasses all the expectations that we could have imagined. The first thing we thought was to thank the editors of Yahoo!, and as the hiker that climbs the top of the Everest, breathe deeply, and imagine how the world looks from that place and prepare for the way down.

Sic transit gloria mundi. The glory in Earth is temporary. But we reached the top.!

Thanks friends of Yahoo!

We know that this place of honor that has been given to us, tomorrow will be given to someone else.

Maybe this will helps us continue making the journalist for the love of the job, for passion, regardless of the fact that since its founding in 1996, ArtDaily has not received a dollar for advertising or any other concept.

At the end, ArtDaily was not founded to make money.

We thank again the people at Yahoo! and all our visitors; we also thank all the people that have worked at ArtDaily at one time or another and that have taken ArtDaily to the level it is today.

This will only bring about a renewed effort in our part to continue to better our selves. Our deepest apreciation. (I.V.)
