Edvard Munch , The Scream, 1893. Tempera on board 83.5 x 66 cm.

OSLO, NORWAY.- Norwegian police have arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with the theft last August of two Edvard Munch art works from the Munch Museum. Three armed and masked men took "The Scream" and "Madonna." Police hope to make more arrests soon. The man arrested denied any involvement in this theft.
Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang reported that police believe the suspect supplied the getaway car.
Police prosecutor Morten Hojem Ervik stated, “Is this a breakthrough? As long as (the paintings) are still out there, you can debate whether it's a breakthrough or not. But at least it brings the investigation one step further.”
