Autonomous DIY Competition: Cultivating Creativity

Autonomous is a renowned company that designs smart office products to improve productivity and efficiency. They enhance organizational operations with their products such as ergonomic desks, chairs, and storage solutions. As an innovative company, they craft their products with care and dedication - just like any artist out there.

Autonomous presented an excellent opportunity for creatively inclined individuals to showcase original artwork and win big prizes. But here's the twist. Artists weren’t using any typical canvas such as fabric, paper, or glass to portray their work like artists usually do.

Instead, Autonomous' very own standing desk model, the SmartDesk 2, served as the surface for these masterpieces. Now, that is something new. Autonomous sent the artists their SmartDesk 2 models for free as long as they participated in the competition.

What is the SmartDesk 2?

The SmartDesk 2 is an adjustable Autonomous standing desk with four programmable height settings. It comes in various color/finish options such as black, white, walnut, white oak, bamboo, and custom finishes.

The desk has an in-built motor that allows you to lift up to 300 lbs without any difficulty. The sturdy design makes it a fitting desk for your office or home. The height adjustment feature enables you to alternate between seated and standing positions for your overall well-being.

A desk is an integral part of work-life, and turning it into a piece of art acts as inspiration and improves the mindset during work. A workspace customized by you would give you a familiar and comforting feeling. That's why Autonomous reached out to artists around the world to participate in this meaningful event.

Why This DIY Competition?

Autonomous products are designed with aesthetics and function in mind. Each piece is a true work of art, built to look stunning and to provide remarkable performance. The objective of the competition was to merge your creative vision and the stellar craftsmanship of Autonomous to start an inspiring amalgamation of artistry.

Autonomous also intends to launch these pieces that have an artist's touch to them. What better way to achieve this than to ask their customers/followers to participate? The Autonomous DIY Competition allowed artists to customize SmartDesk 2 models beautifully. The public voted for the best customizations to win the competition.

The Autonomous' creative nature of work helps them understand and inspire other artists all around the world. That is why they participate actively and conduct events that help inspire and cultivate creativity so that art continues to remain significant. The predominance of art can often be overlooked as it exists in subtle ways. But Autonomous is here to help it receive due attention.

How Did Artists Participate?

It was the perfect opportunity for artists or art enthusiasts who love to share their work with the world. The platform was encouraging, and numerous viewers appreciated the artists' works.

Participating in the DIY competition required straightforward steps. Artists sent in their inspiring SmartDesk 2 art pieces, and Autonomous did the rest.

Here are the steps artists followed to participate in the Autonomous DIY art competition:

● Artists created an inspiring hand painting/drawing on their SmartDesk 2 standing desk using their style. Autonomous instructed them, saying, “paint your desktop," and the competition began.

● Artists sent three high-resolution pictures (1080 x 1080 pixels) of your artwork to the mentioned email address in jpeg format.

● Autonomous posted the participating artwork on its Instagram page for the voting process to commence. The most voted posts won the cash prizes in the competition.

How Could This Competition Bring Out Your Inner Creativity

Artists could use any medium of colors or paints while making sure the art piece was hand-drawn/painted. Any digital or printed work was not qualified for the competition.

The artwork was original and not plagiarized from other sources. Any indication of duplicity or usage of copyrighted material led to disqualification. If there were doubts regarding the authenticity of the artwork, artists had to provide proof of ownership. In case inadequate proof was submitted, artists were not allowed to participate in the art competition.

The voting process was entirely carried out on Instagram. Editing artwork images to the point that they were unrecognizable/unrealistic was not allowed. Artists could make slight tweaks with the exposure and clarity of the image, but any further enhancements lead to disqualification.

In many ways, the competition was a perfect way to tap into your inner creativity and bring it to the fore. The artists were encouraged to share their stories with the audiences. Autonomous doesn’t stop here. The company also allows other budding entrepreneurs to come forth and share their vision with it. The programs like art competition, blogging, and affiliate marketing help the consumers and people who want to earn while working remotely.

Prizes Won by the Top Artists

Autonomous offered terrific cash prizes for the first three winners with the highest votes. It was an excellent motivation for artists to take out that paintbrush and start on their masterpiece.

An Abstract of the Competition

The year 2020 brought great struggles for the working professionals. They were trapped in their homes with no way to find the motivation to work. Autonomous heard stories from numerous individuals who were feeling uninspired and had creative blocks.

Autonomous planned to host this DIY art competition for amateur artists to showcase their talent to the world. The artists were sent a standing desk, the SmartDesk 2 model, which is an Autonomous bestseller. The artists’ project was to use art mediums to transform the plain desk into a work of art.

Numerous art enthusiasts participated in the competition, and the Autonomous Instagram page was filled with beautiful artworks. The winning artworks had over 1300 likes for their posts. Autonomous's art was viewed by followers and other individuals who were happy to see the meaningful competition.

An Encouragement for Skilled Artists

Viewers encouraged the commenters with praise for their creativity and skill. It was a positive environment for the artists to gain exposure and appreciation for their artwork. The Autonomous DIY competition tried to bring a happy event to the existing pandemic and inspire artists and professionals to tap into their creative skills.

The painted desks brought a sense of happiness and comfort to the artists who used them for work. Many individuals said their mood was instantly uplifted after seeing the bright-colored desks with their work of art. The great response has many individuals requesting more competitions like these from Autonomous.

The fun doesn't stop there. Autonomous has a surprise for the winners of the competition. They still haven't made any announcements about the Limited Edition series, and the viewers are eager to know what's next for this innovative company.
