Hindman Auctions appoints Caroline Mujica-Parodi as Director of Museum Services
She joins the Museum Services Department after working as Managing Director of Private Client Services for the Haven Art Group.



CHICAGO, IL.- Hindman announces the appointment of Caroline Mujica-Parodi as Director of Museum Services. Ms. Mujica-Parodi brings over 15 years of art industry experience to her role where she will lead the growth of the department and expand Hindman’s institutional service offerings to clients including managing valuations, consignments, and acquisitions.

“We are thrilled that Caroline is joining Hindman and is bringing her significant museum and collections experience to our team,” shared Hindman’s Chief Executive Officer, Jay Krehbiel. “We have always enjoyed strong working relationships with museums, but with Caroline on board, Hindman will be able to broaden the scope and depth of our services to institutional clients.”

She joins the Museum Services Department after working as Managing Director of Private Client Services for the Haven Art Group, a collection advisory subsidiary of high net worth carrier Pure Insurance. In her role at Haven Art Group, Ms. Mujica-Parodi led national collectibles and fine art services for over 90,000 members and managed private, corporate, and institutional collections ranging in value from five million to over one billion. She negotiated private loans to some of the largest institutions in the country and acted as risk consultant to museums, major commercial galleries, and art service firms.

Prior to Haven, Ms. Mujica-Parodi was a registrar at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago where she managed its loan program, oversaw exhibition installations, and administered an inventory of over 2,500 works of art. Ms. Mujica-Parodi holds a B.A. in History from the University of Maryland College Park and an M.A. in Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Ms. Mujica-Parodi also holds an appraisal certificate from the Appraiser’s Association of America and is USPAP compliant.

Hindman conducts over 100 auctions annually and appraises thousands of objects throughout the year, in addition to handling major single-owner collections. Hindman is committed to achieving the highest levels of success for our institutional clients, whether we are assisting with valuations, consignments, or acquisitions. The Museum Services Department has been privileged to work with many important museums and institutions throughout the country. Appraisal and consulting services are offered to museums and institutions for the purposes of insurance, charitable contribution, gift tax, and fair market value, as well as potential acquisitions and collection management. Each museum and institutional client receive unparalleled access to a dedicated team of specialists who will maximize the sale of a single item or an entire collection.
