LONDON, ENGLAND.- The most important event in the UK photographic calendar - Photo-London - returns to the capital this spring with a month-long program of events across the city, culminating with Photo-London 05 at the Royal Academy (May – 18th 22nd). Involving over 50 galleries and institutions from across London, the UK and around the world, Photo-London 05 will provide a platform for the best photography, film and video from the entire history of the medium - including pioneering work from Henry Fox Talbot and Roger Fenton to Julia Margaret Cameron, from Henri Cartier Bresson to David Bailey, from Man Ray to Martin Parr, and Diane Arbus to Don McCullin and William Eggleston.

With works ranging from £500 - £500,000, Photo-London 05 is uniquely accessible, giving every visitor the chance to invest in, and talk to, world class photographers and artists – and with such critically acclaimed attendees the five days of Photo-London 05 will be unmissable for any photography lover. Alongside the fair, Photo-London 05 will be running a series of talks, educational and curatorial events with leading photographers, critics and curators, as well as projects with the Victoria & Albert Museum and the National Portrait Gallery. The highly successful curated exhibition, which in 2004 featured rising star Johnnie Shand Kydd, will be repeated in a space at the centre of the fair, with further details soon to be announced.
