Don Zanone is New Publisher of Glass Quarterly

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.-Glass Quarterly magazine, the premiere international showcase of the best contemporary art made from glass, is pleased to announce that Don Zanone has accepted the position of Publisher.

Don Zanone brings more than 30 years of experience in magazine publishing. The Advertising Director of ARTFORUM in the mid-1970s, Zanone served as Associate Publisher of ART & ANTIQUES from 1978 until 1983. Though he has significant experience in art magazines, Zanone has also worked at international publications such as MANHATTAN, INC. and "W" (Fairchild Publications). Prior to joining GLASS QUARTERLY in 2004 as Advertising Director, Zanone spent 12 years as the advertising manager of AMERICAN CRAFT magazine during which time he more than doubled the magazine’s advertising revenue.

GLASS QUARTERLY is also pleased to announce that Amy Murphy has accepted the position of Managing Editor. With an MA in Philosophy from California State University, and a BFA in Sculpture from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Murphy brings extensive academic experience as well as extensive professional experience as an adjunct professor, an art director, and a researcher.

Founded in 1979, GLASS QUARTERLY provides serious discourse about glass as a medium of contemporary art. Published four times a year by UrbanGlass, a New York City non-profit, GLASS QUARTERLY puts the work of emerging and established artists into critical context. Published with the highest quality production values, GLASS QUARTERLY’s contributors—museum curators, art historians, and critics—are expert guides to this dynamic and developing field.
