GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY in Glen Cove, NY will present their latest in a summer series of specially curated multi-estates auctions on Saturday, August 13th at 1pm (EST) features hundreds of lots of Fine and Contemporary Art, Silver, Decorative Arts, unique Asian items, Antique & Vintage Furniture, jewelry and lighting. Previews will be held on Thursday, August 11th & Friday, August 12th, 10am - 6pm.

Art highlights this month include a Portfolio of 5 Screenprints by Romare Howard Bearden (American, 1911-1988), including "Salome", "Delilah", "In The Garden", "Prologue to Troy", and "Noah, Third Day" produced by Cordier & Ekstrom and Iver-Sillman, Inc.; numbered HC 2/37, printed by Sirocco Screenprinters, 1974, each pencil signed by Bearden, dated '74, each matted and framed (three in metal frames, two in silver gilt frames). Literature: "From Process to Print: Graphic Works by Romare Bearden", San Francisco, 2009, pp 95-99. [Image: 36" H x 29" W; Frames: 41" H x 34" W to 50" H x 43" W ]. Also offered is an Itzik Asher (b.1946) abstract, contemporary raised design painting on canvas of primitive, abstract figures with birds and fish at the top, and roundels with animals and birds at the bottom. Signed and dated 1993 lower left, in original gilt frame. [68" H x 96" W]. Estimate $3,000 - $4,000, along with a Niso Maman (Israeli, b. 1957) female bust "Sequana", nude female bust sculpture, Stone and metal sculpture. Provenance: Adamar Fine Arts, Coral Gables, FL. In the fine silver arena, Roland is featuring Buccellati sterling silver flatware & serving items, in the French Empire pattern, comprising 150 pieces, marked "Buccellati Sterling Italy". Together with a Reed & Barton wood storage case. 267.6 ozt. [Case: 6 3/4" H x 18" W x 12" D], estimate $6,000 - $8,000 and a Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Partial Flatware service in wooden case, in the English King pattern, monogrammed "W". Comprising 12 dinner knives [9 1/4" L], 10 butter knives [7 1/2" L], 11 dinner forks [7 1/2" L], 11 salad forks [6 7/8" L], 12 soup spoons [6 5/8" L], 12 tea spoons [5 7/8" L], 1 large serving spoon [9” L], and 1 large serving fork [8 1/2” L], marked Tiffany & Co. sterling. Together with 10 other English and American sterling and other serving items. Purchased from dealer Whitehall Villa in 1997. 121.2 ozt. weighable. [Case: 4" H x 16" W x 12" D]. A fine selection of Decorative Arts include a pair of Chinese Framed Porcelain Plaques, framed porcelain plaques depicting mountainous landscapes, one with red chop seal mark. Overall: 36 1/2" H x 10" W]. Surface dust. Estimate $7,000 - $10,000, a pair of Neoclassical-Style Gilt Bronze Wine Coolers, with winged figural handles over mascarons of Bacchus/Dionysus and grape leaf bands over astrological and allegorical cartouches, on associated plinth bases with spurious etched script signature. [17 1/2" H x 14" Diam.]. Estimate $3,000 - $5,000, a Late 18th Century Louis XVI Carved Giltwood Mirror, the crest with an urn amongst rosettes and garland swag details and foliate motifs. [Approx: 41" H x 27" W]. Estimate $2,000 - $3,000 and a Dave McGarry (American, 1958-2013), Native American Indian sculpture titled "Sundance Priest" from the SundanceSeries, 1981. Masterwork bronze with patina, edition of 21. [28" H (including base)]. Estimate $3,000 - $4,000.

Highlights in antique furniture include a fine Italian Late 16th/Early 17th C. Cassettone, having a chest of drawers made of walnut and burl walnut, the three drawers with handles of carved heads and beautiful carved walnut molding. Late Mannerist or early Baroque period, Northern Italy, possibly Genoa. [37" H x 56" W x 23 1/2" D]. Estimate $4,000 - $6,000, while an exquisite Persian Silk Decorated Rug, with all over design, floral border, in deep blues and red. [12' 9" x 9' 11"] is estimated at $6,000 - $8,000.
