GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY in Glen Cove, NY will enjoy a very high-profile month in November, while they also present their upcoming Fall Estates Auction on Saturday, November 5th at 10am.

William Roland, Co-Founder of Roland Auctions NY, will be the recipient of the 2022 Appraisers Association of America Directors Award at the National Appraisal Conference being held November 9th and 10th at the New York Athletic Club, followed by their involvement and exhibitor visibility at the November 11th Art Law Day event, also being held at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan. This internationally attended event brings together art world estate attorneys and planners, insurance experts, shippers and affiliated professionals.

The auction will feature hundreds of lots of Fine Art, Decorative Arts, 20th Century Modern, Antique and Vintage Furniture, Textiles, Silver, Jewelry, Rugs, Collectibles, Asian Art, Decorative Arts, and Lighting. Previews will be held on Thursday, November 3rd and Friday, November 4th from 10am - 6pm.

Roland is offering some very unique fine art including the Attributed to Simone Cantarini (Italian, 1612-1648), Moses & Serpent, oil on canvas painting depicting the story of Moses and the brass serpent. Accompanied by plaque in Hebrew. [Art: 38" H x 53" W; Frame: 45" H x 61" W]. Estimate $10,000 - $15,000 a Senaka Senanayake (Sri Lankan, b. 1951: Figures in a Landscape, framed modern oil on canvas painting of figures in a landscape, signed lower right. [Art: 48" H x 36" W; Frame: 55" H x 43" W]. Estimate $6,000 - $9,000 and an Emilio Grau Sala (Spanish, 1911-1975): Mother & Child - Oil on Canvas, impressionist portrait of a mother and child, signed lower left, faded label to reverse. [Art: 15 1/2" H x 12 1/2" W; Frame: 26 1/2" H x 23 1/2" W]. Estimate $7,000 - $8,000.

An unusual selection of decorative items are also in the spotlight at Roland, including a rare antique Bronze Bell Sculpture, stamped 168 (?). [19" H x 16" Diam.] is estimated $15,000 - $20,000, while a Marcel Andre Bouraine (Matto) (French, 1886-1948) Bronze Dancer Sculpture, bronze sculpture modeled as a dancer on her toes holding "comedy" and "tragedy" masks, with "Matto" signed to base, on stepped marble plinth base. [Overall: 20 1/2" H x 11 1/2" W x 4 3/8" D] is estimated at $1,000 - $1,500, and a 19th Century French Papier Mache "Growler"Bulldog, with articulating mouth and casters under feet. [11" H x 19" W x 8" D], Estimate $1,000 - $2,000.

Also offered is a French 12 Light Chandelier with Rock Crystal, Louis XV-style twelve light chandelier with glass floral accents and rock crystal drops. [58" H x 35" Diam.], estimated at $2,500-3,500, a pair of Antique Iron Classical-Style Urns, figural relief painted urns. [28" H x 23 1/2" Diam.], Estimate $2,000-$3,000 and a Framed Chinese Scenic Porcelain Plaque, with figures in a landscape. [Plaque: 10" H x 17" W; Frame: 10 3/4" H x 17 3/4" W]. Estimate $2,000-$2,500.

In the furniture arena, a rare Mira Antique Mahogany Disc Player, the mahogany cabinet with painted scrolling details, lower section with disc holding dividers, together with a quantity of 29 metal player discs. [41" H x 24" W x 29 1/2" D]. Currently in working order. Estimate $5,000 - $7,000 is offered, along with an 18th C. Continental Inlaid Commode, 18th century Regency commode, probably Austrian, with geometric and border inlay to the case with two short and two long drawers. [34" H x 49 1/2" W x 26" D], estimate 2,500-4,500, and an Aldo Tura Mid Century Bar Cabinet, the lacquered goatskin case with gilt metal hardware, the fall front opens to reveal a mirrored compartment above drawers and cupboard, with two keys, label to back. [55 3/4" H x 27 1/2" W x 15 1/4" D]. Estimate $600-800.

After more than four decades based in Manhattan, Roland Auctions relocated to Long Island’s North Shore, the historic “Gold Coast” in 2018 where they also do auction consignments and offer appraisals.
