2005 Roaring Fork Open at Aspen Art Museum |

ASPEN, COLORADO.-The Aspen Art Museum presents 2005 Roaring Fork Open, on view through November 26, 2005. The 2005 Roaring Fork Open is open to artists who reside in the Roaring Fork Valley from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. There is no entry fee and - new this year - participants are not required to be members of the art museum.
In the interests of meeting local artists, the museum's new Director and Chief Curator, Heidi Zuckerman Jacobson, has initiated a new selection process. She will meet with each participant at the museum to review up to three artworks and will work with him/her to select one artwork for includsion in the exhibition.
Artists must call Curatorial Associate Nicole Kinsler at 925.8050 by Monday, October 3, to schedule a ten-minute appointment for Thursday or Friday, October 6 or 7, between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Nicole Kinsler is available Monday - Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. to schedule appointments and answer questions. No late entries will be accommodated, and artists must be present for the interviewing process.
Artworks in a variety of media are welcome. Two-dimensional work is limited to no more than 48" in any dimension, and three-dimensional work to no more than 84" in height and 48" in all other dimensions. Works need to be suitable for exhibition and ready to install.
