Vancouver Art Gallery announces addition of two new trustees to the Association board
Tara Poseley.

VANCOUVER, BC.- The Vancouver Art Gallery Association welcomes two new members to their Board, Josh Vander Vies and Tara Poseley. The two new members were elected last Wednesday, December 14th at the organization’s Annual General Meeting.

Canadian Disability Foundation founder, Josh Vander Vies, brings with him valuable insight as a lawyer focused on creating and defending Canadian not-for-profit organizations, charitable status and charitable gifts. Josh has served as the President of AthletesCAN, Canada’s association of national team athletes, and a past director of the Canadian Paralympic Committee. Josh won a bronze medal at the London 2012 Summer Paralympic Games in doubles boccia. He is dedicated to advancing inclusion, accessibility and support in the Canadian disability community and beyond.

The Board also welcomes Paula’s Choice Skincare Chief Executive Officer, Tara Poseley. Tara carries over 25 years of experience leading vertical retail corporations. Tara has held the title of CEO at global beauty brand, Paula’s Choice, since 2016 and has specialized in leading high-growth businesses and start-up initiatives throughout her career. Prior to her leadership role at Paula’s Choice, Tara was the Chief Product Officer at Lululemon Athletica and was responsible for a 2-billion-dollar global business. Tara has held President and CEO roles at Sears Holdings, Disney Stores and Design Within Reach.

“We are extremely fortunate to be adding the expansive perspectives of these two highly influential individuals to our Board,” says Anthony Kiendl, Vancouver Art Gallery Chief Executive Officer and Director. "Both Josh and Tara’s unique life experiences and depth of knowledge will provide welcomed counsel to the oversight of our Gallery. I look forward to working closely with them to achieve incredible new heights for our current and future Gallery.”
