Call For Entries: 2006 Harnett Biennial



RICHMOND, VA.-The University of Richmond Museums announces the call for entries for The 2006 Harnett Biennial of American Prints. Open to all forms of prints, the exhibition is presented as a celebration of contemporary printmaking by artists from throughout the United States. The Biennial will be on view from March 17 to June 24, 2006, in the Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art, University Museums.

The deadline for submission is January 17, 2006. The exhibition is open to all artists residing in the United States. Entries must be in the category of printmaking using any traditional and/or experimental techniques and media. Eligible entries include prints on paper using, but not limited to, such media as intaglio, relief, planographic, stencil, monotype, and digital processes. Photographs on paper are eligible. Prints must have been completed in the last two years.

The entry form can be downloaded from the museums’ website at http://museums.richmond.edu, or requested by email at museums@richmond.edu. A hard copy is available at the museums or can mailed upon request by calling 804-287-6424.

The juror for the competition is Kathy Caraccio, master printer and artist, and the proprietor of K. Caraccio Printmaking Studio in New York since 1977.
