LONDON, ENGLAND.-The Brunei Gallery at the School of Oriental and African Studies presents The Creative Tradition 2005 PiezoGraph exhibition on 3 December 5 December 2005. The Creative Tradition 2005 PiezoGraph exhibition has toured Europe during 2005. Having started in Berlin in January the European tour finishes in London at the Brunei Gallery, SOAS after which the exhibition will finish off the year at International House in Osaka. The Exhibition presents various works growing out of the traditions of Japan, including Nihonga Buddhist paintings, images of Bugaku court dance, Kabuki illustrations for folding screens and scroll pictures of actors and Ukiyo-e woodblock prints from the Edo and Meiji periods, which are reproduced with a contemporary sensibility through PiezoGraph inkjet printing technology.
