Istanbul, Lahore, Tehran: Contemporary Perspectives on Art



NEW YORK.-The Museum of Modern Art International Program presents Istanbul, Lahore, Tehran: Contemporary Perspectives on Art, a roundtable discussion by three curators and critics on contemporary art in these major cities of the Islamic world, hosted by the Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies, New York University. This program is being presented in the context of Without Boundary: Seventeen Ways of Looking, the exhibition currently on view at The Museum of Modern Art.

Speakers are: Vasif Kortun, Director, Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Center, Istanbul; Salima Hashmi, Dean of The School of Visual Arts, Beaconhouse National University, Lahore; and A.R. Sami Azar, Former Director of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.

Monday, May 15 at 5:00 p.m. at the Kimmel Center of New York University, 60 Washington Square South (use front entrance on W. 4th St.) Admission is free on a first come first serve basis. No tickets or reservations are available. Note: A valid government issued photo ID is required for entry to the Kimmel Center at NYU.
