The Art Assembly appoints Craig Brown as Director of Gallery Relations (US & Europe)
Brown brings extensive art fair experience, most recently as Fair Director for Masterpiece. Brown has experience working in Asia having served as Director of Galleries & Programming for Art Central in Hong Kong.

NEW YORK, NY.- The Art Assembly announced that Craig Brown has been appointed to the newly created position of Gallery Relations (US & Europe).

The Art Assembly is an affiliation of major international art fairs with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific region comprising Taipei Dangdai, India Art Fair, Sydney Contemporary, PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, ART SG and the forthcoming Tokyo Gendai.

Reporting to Magnus Renfrew, Co-Chairman & Global Director of The Art Assembly, Brown will work closely with the Founders and Fair Directors to further strengthen the participation of European and American galleries across The Art Assembly’s portfolio of fairs.

Brown brings extensive art fair experience, most recently as Fair Director for Masterpiece. Brown has experience working in Asia having served as Director of Galleries & Programming for Art Central in Hong Kong. He was previously Commercial Director at Apollo magazine and has been a regular lecturer at Sotheby’s Institute of Art for the last decade.

Craig Brown says, ‘I am thrilled to join The Art Assembly and to be working with Magnus, as well as to be working once again with Tim Etchells and Sandy Angus. It is exciting to be joining at a time when the markets are developing rapidly across Asia, and I am looking forward to working with our galleries to expand their networks and opportunities.’

Magnus Renfrew says, ‘I am delighted to welcome Craig to The Art Assembly team. Craig’s extensive art fair experience in working with galleries will allow us to continue to develop the international dialogue between galleries from the US & Europe with the art scenes across Asia.’

The appointment is one of strategic importance for The Art Assembly as it continues to strengthen its networks across the Asia Pacific region, and now counts six fairs including Taipei Dangdai, ART SG which had its first edition in January, Sydney Contemporary, India Art Fair, Photofairs Shanghai, and the highly anticipated Tokyo Gendai which launches this July.
