Midfielder Martin Odegaard affirmed that Arsenal just tries to play the best they can and does not care much about other opponents failing.
Odegaard spoke after Man City's first defeat
Last weekend, Man City received their first defeat of the new season after losing 1-2 to Wolves. Meanwhile, Arsenal defeated Brentford 4-0.
The above results help Arsenal narrow the gap with Man City on the rankings. The Gunners are currently only 1 point behind their opponents.
However, Arsenal players did not care much about Man City's defeat. Coach Mikel Arteta and his team only try to show their best.
Odegaard affirmed that Arsenal needs to focus on doing its job well and not care about the results of other teams.
That is what midfielder Martin Odegaard confirmed. Arsenal captain shared:
"I know about Man City's loss. But again, I must affirm that Arsenal is only focused on itself.
The Premier League is a difficult league. Every team can beat each other. We always have to be ready for every match and the upcoming fixture schedule is very busy.
So we have to focus on ourselves first. We need to make sure the whole team is ready for the next round. Every match is very important."
In the next round, Arsenal and Man City will face off directly. This match takes place at 10:30 p.m. on October 8.
