Chef Adam Handling MBE opens boutique art gallery in the heart of Covent Garden
Open now on Maiden Lane, The Frog Gallery showcases a carefully curated collection of pieces from a select artist, chosen by Adam himself in collaboration with Wishbone Publishing.

LONDON.- Award-winning Chef Adam Handling MBE announced the opening of The Frog Gallery located in the heart of Covent Garden, just moments away from his flagship Michelin-starred restaurant, The Frog. This exciting venture marks the first step beyond hospitality for the Adam Handling Group, accentuating the four pillars that define all of Adam’s endeavours: food, drink, art and music.

Open now on Maiden Lane, The Frog Gallery showcases a carefully curated collection of pieces from a select artist, chosen by Adam himself in collaboration with Wishbone Publishing. Each month, the work of one artist will be shown, rotating every 4 weeks to highlight a wide variety of exquisite pieces and providing a unique platform for hand-picked and selected fine art and artists from throughout the UK. Each artist will also provide a small number of artworks in their collection, which will be completely exclusive to Frog Gallery.

Adam has always been a keen art enthusiast and collector. Over the past decade, he has seamlessly intertwined his passion for both food and art, not only on the plate but by encapsulating art within the aesthetics of each of his restaurants and bars, choosing to showcase a selection of his favourite artwork to display, many from his own personal collection. The opening of Frog Gallery was a natural step for Adam, bringing his love of art to a wider audience and strengthening his commitment to creating innovative immersive experiences.

The first artist showcased at The Frog Gallery is the incredible JJ Adams. A long-standing favourite of Chef Adam and one of the UK’s most collectible artists, JJ Adams’ artwork can be found in galleries across the world. His style is bold and confident, known for transforming celebrity images or iconic landmarks with his inimitable edge and blurring the lines between new media, pop, fine art, digital art and photography.

The pictured artwork titled ‘Covent Garden Piazza’ has been released exclusively through The Frog Gallery as a bespoke limited edition alongside ‘National Treasure – Her Majesty / Frog Edition’ and ‘The Buckingham Palace / Frog Edition’. These pieces, intimately tied to the gallery's location and its association with The Frog restaurant, are available for purchase at The Frog Gallery and it’s the only venue in the UK offering all three artworks by JJ Adams. ‘The Buckingham Palace’ and ‘National Treasure – Her Majesty’ artworks are exact copies of the bespoke artworks commissioned and tailored for The Frog and both can be found hanging on display in the restaurant today.

Chef Adam Handling MBE says, "Art has always been a big part of our group - everything is bespoke and tells a story. Now people can get their hands on our art and it makes me very excited that they will always have a little piece of Frog in their homes. I’ve had JJ’s work in my restaurant ever since I opened Frog in Covent Garden in 2017, so this feels like a real full circle moment for me. I feel overwhelmingly proud and excited”.
