BALTIMORE, MD.- The Maryland Science Center presents the exhibit Rockwell's America now through January 7, 2007. Rockwell's America: celebrating the art of Norman Rockwell is a unique traveling exhibition where guests young and old experience the imaginative world of Norman Rockwell featuring his most famous saturday evening post art brought to life in theatrical environments, multimedia experiences, and live characters. Follow the evolution of technology and its impact on the American lifestyle and landscape as depicted in Rockwell’s cover illustrations and hands-on displays. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience that represents the very best of America’s past and present as only Norman Rockwell could envision.

Become part of history in this interactive exhibit capturing a slice of Americana through the works of one of America’s most beloved artists. Rockwell’s America: Celebrating the Art of Norman Rockwell lets visitors literally step inside the world of Rockwell’s art and life in a three-dimensional, interactive exhibit that has multi-generational appeal. This exhibit is the largest Norman Rockwell/Saturday Evening Post exhibition ever created and combines theater, educational activities and multimedia experiences which give visitors an immersion in America’s past and present as seen through the artist’s vision. The exhibit contains over 100 original Saturday Evening Post covers and features original works of art by Norman Rockwell. Through 20 theatrical environments and 35 life-size sculptures of Rockwell's most beloved characters, the exhibit blends elements of education and entertainment where families and groups of all ages can take a journey back into the 20th century America.
