NEW YORK, NY.- Following the outstanding success of Jewels Online in March, Christie’s announces the highlights of its upcoming Magnificent Jewels live auction taking place on June 11th, alongside the concurrent Jewels Online auction, open for bidding from June 4th to 13th. The live auction will showcase esteemed collections from global notable figures spanning the entirety of the 20th century, ranging from the elite of American society to the stars of Italian cinema. The top lot of the sale is The Eden Rose, a 10.20 carat Round Brilliant Fancy Intense Pink Diamond (Estimate $9,000,000-12,000,000). The sale also prominently features a diverse array of colored diamonds, colorless diamonds, and gemstones, as well as vintage signed pieces from renowned houses such as Bulgari, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels. The full offerings of the sale will be on exhibition at Christie’s New York from June 6th to 10th.

Magnificent Jewels will spotlight significant collections and pieces with notable provenance, led by Beauty in Design: Magnificent Jewelry from the Collection of Sunny Crawford von Bulow and Ala von Auersperg Isham. This meticulously curated collection, assembled by the renowned American heiress and socialite, showcases the timeless elegance of Van Cleef & Arpels, featuring effortlessly chic designs adorned with top-quality diamonds and gemstones. One highlight from the collection is a Van Cleef & Arpels Carved Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond Necklace (Estimate $200,000-300,000), centering on a beautifully carved Colombian emerald. Another important collection featured in the sale is the Property from the Collection of Fritz and Lucy Jewett, which includes a remarkable selection of rubies and sapphires, notably an Emerald-cut Sapphire and Diamond Ring of 18.31 carats (Estimate $150,000-250,000). Furthermore, the auction presents additional lots with notable provenance including a dazzling selection from the collections of Jeanette Edris Rockefeller and Margaret Thompson Biddle.

Also featured in the sale are important colored stones and diamonds. Standout highlights include – a group of antique cut colored diamonds weighing 40.56, 40.38, and 26.63 carats respectively (Estimate $1,600,000-2,550,000) a ring centering on a fancy vivid blue heart modified brilliant-cut diamond of 2.28 carats (Estimate $1,600,000-2,600,000), and an exceptional fancy vivid pink diamond ring of 3.18 carats (Estimate $3,000,000-5,000,000).

Rounding out the sale are a notable selection of precious evening bags from Bulgari, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels, which boast notable provenance including The Duchess of Windsor, and Italian movie star, Silvana Mangano.
