PHILADELPHIA, PA.- An exhibition of Philagrakfika's collected works will be on display at the Foundation through mid-June 2007. Prints from its Philadelphia Invitational Portfolio, Big Block Portfolio Exchange, and others created by local artist-educators provide a glimpse into the vast breadth and depth of high quality print work being created by artists in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Founded in 2000 as the Philadelphia Print Collaborative, the group was formed to fill the need for a central organizing entity to encourage collaboration and support among artists and arts organizations, and increase the general public's knowledge of and exposure to the art of printmaking. With a vision to establish Philadelphia as an international center for printmaking, the group changed its name to Philagraphika in 2006 and embarked on an effort to produce a major international contemporary art event in 2010.

The William Penn Foundation supports the work of Philadelphia artists, and is pleased to collaborate with Philagrafika to display their work.
