WELLESLEY, MA.- The Sorenson Theater at Babson College will open the exhibit Scale Shift starting on September 4 and running through October 14. Boston artist Donna Veverka who earned a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Massachusetts College of Art. Scale Shift, sculpture and jewelry by Donna Veverka.Veverka’s work reflects her fascination with travel and the international language of domed ceilings and circular stairways, the majesty and visual representations of church and a reverence for form itself, into fine art. Structures and ornamental features most often encountered as massive and imposing are made to the scale of the human body – as Veverka’s work is meant to be worn as adornment. Working in sterling silver and gold, with textile elements, Veverka brings the geometry of Classical architecture to the gallery space, and to your arm, finger or throat.

Donna Veverka received a BFA degree from The University of the Arts; and an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art. She has exhibited at Allston Skirt Galler and Decordova Museum Fall Fashion Show, 2004, Fort Point Arts Community Gallery, Boston and The Fuller Museum, Brockton, 2002, The Galery at Green St., JP and Gallery Bershad, 2001.
