Set to be a defining moment in the exhibition is the first exhibition of Convergence is a pivotal moment for Rampini as its her first exhibition in the UK, while Beusker is exhibiting in the UK for the second time. Convergence suggests the union of two or
more forces, where Beuskers photographs and Rampinis paintings unite, offering a rare, almost resistant look into the eyes of the wild. This is not a distant observation; its a direct invitation into the realm where animals are not subjects but entities that are gazing back, challenging us with their unfiltered presence. Lars Beusker and Giusy Rampinis dual show is being exhibited at the award-winning Miart Gallery London, a spectacular 560m2 contemporary and modern art centre located in the heart of Mayfair on St. Jamess Street, London.

Lars Beusker is more than a photographer, he is a storyteller of the natural world, capturing moments that feel both intimate and monumental. Known for his evocative black-and-white wildlife photography, Beusker brings a distinct perspective to the exhibition, one rooted in his deep connection to Africas wilderness. After a successful career in fashion photography, he transitioned to wildlife, using his experience with a 130mm or maximum 200mm lensa tool often associated with fashion to get remarkably close to his subjects. Beusker gets as close as 2 to 3 metres to his wild models, within hunting distance, and then he shoots with his camera! As a result, he captures the spectacular eye contact of his animal kingdom subjects, an up close and personal approach between man and wildlife that has become his signature style. This choice brings us face-to-face with wildlife in a way that feels less like observation and more like revelation. Beuskers images capture raw, unfiltered beauty, drawing us in with an intensity that lingers and a level of detail reminiscent of painters like Jan van Eyck, where one might even catch a glimpse of Beuskers reflection in the animals eyes. By stripping away color, Beusker removes emotional bias, focusing instead on the character and dignity of the animals, inviting viewers to see them not as subjects, but as beings with depth and Presence.

Lars Beusker in the News:
Videos and photos show him lying in the back of a car with the door open. He researches thoroughly to find the right guide who can bring him close to the animals. Then he waits for the animal to approach him. "Six meters, five meters, four meters then I press the shutter," he explains. Is he scared? "I do get nervous in those moments, but not because of fear its anticipation for the photo.

The breathtaking photo was taken under challenging conditions. Beusker recalls: "January is summer in South Africa, but during my three-day stay, it rained almost non-stop. I didnt want to photograph the beautiful animal soaking wet, but luckily, We found the panther in a shelter. In the darkness, I saw two bright eyes, positioned myself with a low camera angle, and was rewarded with this unique moment when the panther emerged into the daylight, full of curiosity. In the soft light of the cloud-covered sky and against the deep black background, he looked me straight in the eyes: Look Into My Eyes.

KHUMBA captivated me with his gaze the first time I saw him and continues to do so everyday. His look is so proud, so strong and so calm. To capture such a look in a photo, I thank and admire Lars Beusker

Giusy Rampini, a celebrated Italian artist known for her wildlife paintings, brings a painterly sensitivity to her exploration of African wildlife. Originally trained as a fashion designer, Rampini transitioned into fine art, studying under the renowned painter Adriano Grasso Caprioli and at prestigious institutions such as the IL BISONTE international engraving school in Florence. Her unique, minimalistic approach immerses the audience in lush, layered worlds that feel almost otherworldly. Rampini isolates her animal subjects from their natural environments, capturing not only their physical form but also the spirit and energy that animates each creature. Rampinis work goes beyond mere representation; it invites us into a quiet dialogue with the untamed, where color, texture and movement converge to evoke a profound sense of connection. Her paintings dont just depict animals, they invite us to feel their presence, to pause and consider the lives that pulse alongside our own.

Giusy Rampini in the news:
"In the imposing dimensions of Giusy Rampinis animals lies their belonging to worlds we cannot know. Their typical, strange, and bizarre forms hold their secrets, often impenetrable.

Animals are not only beautiful but also immense, majestic, and symbolic. Representing them in art means attempting to grasp their essence: something not limited to external appearances or movements but embedded in their character, their nature, their silent depth.
This is what Giusy Rampini does in her artworks, an artist from Gardone Val Trompia (Brescia) with a solid artistic background and a distinct sensibility for animals, which she studies and paints to highlight their anatomy and their inner world.
