TRAVERSE CITY.- The Dennos Museum Center presents the exhibit The Annual Print Collection 06 through November 26. The annual Print Collection from Cape Dorset is the much anticipated Inuit art event of the fall season. A tradition since 1959, the collection presents the work of Cape Dorset’s talented graphic artists – both young and old working together in the co-operatively owned Kinngait Studios.

This has been a busy year in the Kinngait Studios, with 34 images in the annual collection representing 13 different artists. Once again, the work is distinguished by its remarkable diversity, technical excellence and beautiful and intriguing images. The print collection for 2006 opens October 20, 2006 at galleries across Canada, the United States and in Europe. The official host galleries this year are:

Canada – Inuit Gallery of Vancouver, Vancouver, B.C.
USA – Home & Away, Kennebunkport, Maine
Europe – Canadian Arctic Gallery, Basel, Switzerland

Dorset Fine Arts publishes a full-colour catalogue illustrating each image in the collection and includes an introductory foreword. The catalogue and/or smaller format brochure and price list are available through galleries handling the collection.
