Venezia'900 from Boccioni to Vedova
Emilio Vedova, Composizione, Banca Intesa Milano.

VENICE, ITALY.- Venezia'900 from Boccioni to Vedova opens today at Casa dei Carraresi, and will be on view through April 8, 2007. This major exhibition focuses on the panorama of 20th century Venetian art - from the beginning of the century to the 60s. This show tarces the panorama of the period and also specifies the implementation criteria. The exhibition starts from the great signs of renewal in Venice with the exhibitions at Ca' Pesaro managed by Nino Barbantini and sponsored by Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation. In the early years of the twentieth century a group of Venetian artists broke away completely from the painting of the great masters of the nineteenth century who were still active in Venice, such as Ciardi, Nono, and Fragiacomo. The exhibition begins with the first generation artists born in the last two decades of the nineteenth century.
