TRENTO, ITALY.- Galleria Civica di Arte Contemporanea of Trento presents The theater of life: Performance and actions in the places of organization curated by Sabine Folie, Jens Hoffmann, Carlos Jiménez, Jessica Morgan, Hanna Wróblewska, June Yap. Coordinated by: Fabio Cavallucci. The event will take place November 16 – February 25.

Six curators and a dozen artists to realize, in locations of the life and the organization of the city, a series of performances aimed at an investigation of the relationship between action and environment. The experiment proceeds from the will to give evidence to the importance of artistic research, performative research, its ability to make a strong creative contribution to the investigation of systems of organization. Performance can represent a sort of litmus paper, a receptor able to indicate the state of the relational structures of society, measuring the conditions of stress and strength, making visible the potential anomalies and points of crisis. Moreover performance, with its immaterial components and its transitory nature, juxtaposes itself against the rigidity and the completeness of the structures where it unfolds.
