Leading the sale this Spring is the important Tiffany Studios Goddard Memorial Window ($2,000,000-3,000,000), which was commissioned in 1909 and completed in 1910 under the direct supervision of Louis Comfort Tiffany. A masterpiece of color, light, and symbolism, the Goddard Memorial Window embodies the spiritual and artistic ambitions of the American Gilded Age and serves as a lasting testament to Tiffany’s creative brilliance. Proceeds from the sale will support the continued advancement of St. Luke’s Church’s missions and endowment.

The first half of the 20th century is highlighted by luxurious designs by Jean Dunand, Paul Dupré-Lafon and Pierre Chareau, with the French post-war era further represented by iconic furniture and lighting by Jean Royère and Jean Prouvé. Also showcased in the sale are works by Alberto and Diego Giacometti, including the ‘Figure’ floor lamp (Tête de femme) ($200,000-300,000) and the 'Feuilles Aux Oiseaux Et Aux Grenouilles' side table ($300,000-500,000), Classic and Important Design from a Prestigious New York Collection.

The Surrealist movement is further cemented in the sale with impressive works by François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne, which come from several private collections, and are showcased in the auction, including ‘L’enlèvement d’Europe’ ($700,000-1,000,000), Le Métaphore (Canard-Bateau) ($80,000-120,000), and a Unique 'Structure Végétale Aux Papillons, Souris Et Oiseaux' Chandelier ($1,200,000-1,800,000).

Scandinavian design is represented by Paavo Tynell’s iconic ‘Snowflake’ chandelier ($200,000-300,000) from a distinguished American collection and further designs include by Kaare Klint and Axel Einar Hjorth. Modern masters such as Wendell Castle, Marc Newson and Ron Arad round out contemporary sculptural design, with examples such as Castle’s 'Dr. Caligari Desk and Chair' ($120,000-180,000).

The sale will open with the previously announced dedicated auction: American Avant-Garde: The James D. Zellerbach Residence by Frances Elkins.
