VENICE.- Biagioli is an Italian artist whose art invites reflection on the connection between the tribal man and the contemporary one. His artworks are situated in many important museums and artistic institutions, including the Kandinsky Library of Centre Pompidou (Paris), the Department of Prints and Drawings of British Museum (London), and the Library of National Palace Museum (Taipei), among others. The child with the dust blanket is a fable that traces the story of a childs first steps into life. The main character carries a dust blanket that serves both as protection and as a metaphor: it represents the perceptual limitations that often prevent us from recognizing the true beauty surrounding us. As he grows, the child comes to trust only his clouded sight, gradually losing the ability to rely on his other senses the ones capable of perceiving the worlds astonishment. In the end, only death and a purifying rain will reveal the reality already discovered by the other neglected senses: Nature, Love, and the Universe.Biagioli introduces the concept of Primary Art, describing it as the expression of human inner beauty, capable of dissolving the dust that veils our perception. The artist explains that this form of art is accessible and ready to speak to anyone willing to approach it with an open mind and receptive senses....for a long time now I have searched for a simple and intuitive description on how to explain Primary Art. Then I remembered that the fables are the simplest way to explain morals to the children... So I wrote one...This book, besides being a fable, is a real artwork. It has been saved and classified by the digital archive of Peggy Guggenheim Collection's Library under the full title: *The child with the dust blanket : [*fable about the primary art] / by Filippo Biagioli. The artwork was realized by hand by the artist and it is composed of 20 sheets measuring 12,5x9 cm, including 14 drawings and 19 handwritten plates, decorated with a handmade geometric graphic. The handcrafted work is evident in the details: 11 sewn bifolium decorated with capitals, the endpaper on plywood and the spine of the book is made of red velvet. The cover has a complex geometric painting with the writing "VEᴎEZIA.
