BOWNESS-ON-WINDERMERE.- Blackwell the Arts & Crafts house in Bowness-on-Windermere, will transform into a festive gift-givers treasure trove during the Winter Craft Fair, on Friday 14 Sunday 16 November 2025. This much-loved seasonal event invites visitors to shop sustainably, connect with local makers, and explore a landmark of British Arts & Crafts design.
Set across three days, the Winter Craft Fair sees Blackwells atmospheric period rooms become an immersive marketplace filled with unique, handcrafted gifts. From ceramics and textiles to woodcraft and leatherwork, the event showcases the work of more than 15 exceptional artisans who embody the spirit of slow, sustainable craftsmanship.

Confirmed makers include Lauren Frost Ceramics, KARRIE Knitwear, Humblewood, Monica Metsers Fine Art, Morgan Leather, Pendula, Purple Dragon Workshops, Nicholas Hobbs Furniture, Fabulous Fripperies, Sara Turton from JaLoJo, Lakeland Mosaics and Catriona Orr from Esk collected.
This is more than just a craft fair, its an opportunity to explore one of Britains finest Arts & Crafts houses while meeting the makers keeping traditional craftmanship alive. Visitors can also enjoy seasonal treats in the Tea Room and beautiful Windermere views throughout the house.
Entry to the Winter craft fair is £8 per adult and includes full access to the house and the current contemporary exhibition Motif | Line | Colour by Frances Priest. Entry is free for Lakeland Arts members. Pre-booking is highly recommended as it is a popular event. Walk-ins are welcome, subject to space.
