INDIANAPOLIS, IN.- Newfields announced the successful appointment of Tim Ardillo as the institution’s Chief Development Officer. Ardillo brings a wealth of experience in development leadership.

Tim Ardillo, CFRE, has built a career of more than 25 years in non-profit leadership, fundraising, donor cultivation, corporate and individual philanthropy and public relations. His expertise in community-based, state and national organizations is an impactful addition to the Newfields executive team.

“I, along with the entirety of the Newfields team, am thrilled to have Tim Ardillo joining our staff,” said Le Monte Booker, Newfields President & CEO. “Tim will lead our fundraising efforts, strengthen relationships with donors and help us grow the resources that make our exhibitions, programs and gardens possible.”

Ardillo joins Newfields after serving as the Chief Development Officer for Firefly Children and Family Alliance, a 174-year-old organization in Indiana focused on strengthening families, empowering youth and young adults and promoting well-being. He led fundraising, communications and marketing for the $50 million per year social service organization.

Prior to joining Firefly, Ardillo served as a Senior Consultant with Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates (JGA). While at JGA, Ardillo guided clients through feasibility studies, development audits and assessments, campaign-specific and strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation, executive search guidance; and board and staff training and facilitation. He also served as Director of Institutional Advancement for the Indianapolis Zoo where he directed the successful completion of a $34 million capital campaign and the launch of a $10 million endowment campaign.

“I am honored to join Newfields at such an exciting moment in its history,” said Ardillo. “Development is about building connections, and I look forward to working with colleagues, donors and community members to expand the impact and reach of this treasured institution, ensuring it thrives for generations to come.”

Ardillo earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and marketing from the University of Louisiana, Monroe and holds the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation.
