LUXEMBOURG.- The Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'art contemporain presents the exhibit ON/OFF through Februart 25, 2007. Artist included in the exhibit are: John Armleder, Lilian Bourgeat, Hsia-Fei Chang, Jacques Charlier, Christian Cordes, Simone Decker, Jean-Jacques Dumont, Carsten Höller, Jenny Holzer, Ann Veronica Janssens, Peter Kogler, Mischa Kuball, Ruth Schnell, Marie Sester, Michel Verjux.
Casino Luxembourg will be housing some fifteen works of light in movement, some of which have been designed specially for the occasion, works to transform the building into a bright jewel-case, a field of intense and yet somehow disturbing artistic radiation.
However, ON/OFF will also be taking over three major civil engineering structures in Luxembourg City: the Viaduct will be draped in festive garb thought up by Mischa Kuball, the Pont Adolphe is to be geometrically illuminated by Michel Verjux while the majestic Pont Grande-Duchesse Charlotte is to be reproduced in miniature and shine but only visible as a night photograph with flash thanks to an astute intervention by Simone Decker.
