GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY will present its upcoming November Estates Auction on November 15th, 2025 at 10am, featuring an impressive selection of Contemporary and Fine Art, along with a spectacular rare collection with three areas of focus; Fine Art, Chinese and Asian art, and silver, including antique sculpture and decorative arts, all being the Property of and benefiting Columbia University in New York City.

Of course, the November 15th sale also features hundreds of Roland’s always present lots of excellent Fine Art & Sculpture, Decorative Art, 20th Century Modern, Antique & Vintage Furniture, Textiles, Silver, Gold and Silver Jewelry, Rugs, Collectibles, Asian Art and Decorative Arts, and Lighting. Previews will be held on Thursday, November 13th & Friday, November 14th, 10am – 6pm.

Art standouts at the auction will include a Francesco Guardi (Italian, 1712-1793) ink on paper landscape study and a Robert Natkin (American, 1930-2010) abstract on handmade rag paper, while rare items from the Property of Columbia University are a Khmer Baphuon Style Carved Sandstone of Uma, circa 11th century, and a carved Pala Period Blackstone stele relief, Indian, 12th century.

Always prominent at Roland, Modern , Contemporary and Fine art will once again have a strong showing, led by the Francesco Guardi (Italian, 1712-1793) ink on paper landscape study in a frame, with Guardi's watermark to lower left, with "From the Collection of Sir Joshua Reynolds Fitchett Marsh and Richard (illegible)" and inscribed Artist Francesco Guardi to verso. [Work: 9.5" H x 8.75" W]. Estimate $150,000-$250,000, a Robert Natkin (American, 1930-2010) Abstract on Handmade Rag Paper. Large work. Signed, lower left. Framed in box frame under Plexiglass. [Image: 24 x 48 inches; frame: 58 x 44 x 3 inches]. Estimate $10,000-$15,000, a Stephen Slaughter (English, 1697-1765) attributed palatial oil on canvas portrait, circa 1750, depicting three children in a landscape around a bowl of fruit with a bird, apparently unsigned, in a carved and gilt wood frame, Provenance from Sotheby's Important Old Masters Sale, May 20, 1993, lot 213. [Framed: 68" H x 87" W]. Estimate $12,000-$15,000 and a Mary Cassatt (American, 1844-1926) "Mother Bertha Holding her Child" drypoint, circa 1889, on Japon paper, signed Mary Cassatt to lower right with No. 3, with an R. Hartshorne ink stamp to verso, with provenance from Christie's "A Mary Cassatt Collection: Prints and Drawings from the Descendants of Robert Hartshorne" sale on October 30th, 2007, lot 44, and with provenance from Roger Marx and Robert Hartshorne. [Sight: 10" H x 7.25" W; frame: 17" H x 13.5" W]. Estimate $4,000-$6,000.

Also in the spotlight is the special collection of antique sculpture and decorative arts, all the Property of and benefiting Columbia University in New York City. These very rare items will include a Khmer Baphuon Style Carved Sandstone of Uma, Khmer Baphuon style Hindu sculpture of Uma, modern day Cambodia, wearing a Baphuon style sampot and headdress, on a later base. Estimate $50,000-$80,000, an Indian carved sandstone figure of a dancing Ganesha, Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh, with a carved sacred thread, two figures at upper, likely Riddhi and Siddhi, and two figures at base, likely music playing Ganas, on a later wooden base. Estimate $8,000-$12,000 and a rare Louis Condiment Set Louis XVI Silver and Glass Condiment Set, 10, Louis XVI silver and blue glass condiment set, Paris, 1776, by Antoine Boullier, comprising pair of twin master salts, pair of mustard pots, and six single master salts, all with pierced scrolling and foliate decorated bands, inset with blue glass liners marks, marks to all excluding one mustard pot cover. Estimate $3,000-$5,000.

Additional items are a Regency mahogany and specimen marble top center table, late 19th century, the specimen marble top retained by a carved gadrooned border, raise on a tripanel standard continuing conforming platform terminating with acanthus carved legs. Estimate $1,800-$2,800. an Indian, Hindi, carved sandstone sculpture of a Mithuna, Chandela Dynasty, Madhya Pradesh, on a later wooden base. Estimate $3,000-$5,000, a Victor Salmones "La Barada" Pair Figural Bronzes, Victor M. Salmones (Mexican, 1937-1989) "La Barada" or "The Wall", 1974, pair of bronze figural sculptures to be mounted on a wall, uneditioned, signed "Victor N. Salmones" to each at thigh. Estimate $4,000-$6,000 and a Max Bill Gilt Brass Sculpture, Max Bill (Swiss 1908-1994) "Einheit aus drei gleichen volumen" or Entity made up of three identical volumes., signed on edge of one volume "Bill 61-63", This is an edition of 5.Estimate $5,000-$7,000. Also featured in the collection are Silverplate by Puiforcat & Christofle, Jade, Baccarat and others.

Highly notable in the furniture arena are an 18th C. French Provincial Walnut Commode, Mid-18th century Louis XV-style Provincial commode/chest, with a rouge marble top. [30 3/4" H x 42" W x 24" D]. Estimate $4,000-$6,000, a Carved & Painted Jansen-Manner Banquet Table, having a paint decorated top with 3 inset mirrors above an elaborately gilded and carved painted Rococo base with shell carved and floral crest. [31 1/2" H x 98" W x 55" D; 26 1/4" H to apron]. Estimate $2,000-$4,000 and a pair of Clement Meadmore Leather "248" Sling Chairs, pair of Clement Meadmore for Leif Wessman Associates Inc. NY. "248" leather sling chairs, circa 1960s, with polished steel frames. [27.5" H x 23.5" W x 27.5" D; seat height: 14"]. Estimate $800-$1,000.

Decorative Arts will be well represented, with a Zuni Pueblo Polychrome Decorated Tai-Lai Water Jar, Zuni Pueblo tai-lai or water jar, American, 19th century, with polychrome and deer decoration to outer, with provenance from Sotheby's Fine American Indian Art sale, December 3rd 1986, lot 262A. [10" H x 11.25" Diameter]. Estimate $2,000-$4,000, a very unique J. Antony Redmile Horn & Ostrich Egg Snuff Mull, J. Antony Redmille horn, ostrich egg and stone snuff mull, the twisted horn base surmounted and centered by an ostrich egg accented with stone and metal cartouche and finial, the lid opening to reveal a fitted interior, mark to lid base. [11" H x 20.25" W x 7" D]. Estimate $1,000-$1,500, and a Tiffany & Co. Persian Inspired Copper Box, Tiffany & Co. aesthetic movement copper box, circa 1900, with Indo-Persian inspired decoration to lid and sides, marked Tiffany & Co. to base. [2.5" H x 6" W x 3.5" D]. Also featured is an Alfred-Louis-Achille Daguet (French, 1875-1942) Art Nouveau repousse metal box with inset glass cabochons, figural decoration to lid and decorative roundels to sides, and gem set glass accents throughout, initialed AD and 2 to lid at lower cartouche.
