GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY will present a treasure trove of items from the estates of Oleg Cassini, Inc. and Cassini Parfums, Ltd., both business entities of the legendary, late fashion designer Oleg Cassini in two-parts, at auctions on Saturday, April 11th and Saturday, May 2nd, both at 10am.

This large collection of items all came from the lower two floors of the former gilded-age Cassini townhouse on East 63rd St. in Manhattan, which just recently sold in New York for $34.5 million. The collection features art, antiques, various types of correspondence, original fashion sketches and hundreds of personal photos with Jackie Kennedy, Princess Grace of Monaco and Cassini’s many other high-profile friends & associates, trophies, perfume bottles and more.

From prominent other estates at their April 11th auction, along with their top art selections, this auction event will also feature a selection of fine jewelry pieces, bronze sculptures and unusual Asian Decorative Arts of all kinds, , 20th Century Modern, Antique & Vintage Furniture, Textiles, Silver, Rugs and Collectibles.

Roland is also offering a Palatial Italian Carved Marble Fireplace Surround, each side tern with outward and front facing female busts, in the Emilio Santarelli manner, tapering down to a flat small base with molded trim. The top shelf in 2 pieces, the upper part with crown molding (chip) [94" x 14"], above a second top with dentil molding and gadroonish molding [86" x 12"]. [Total Piece 63.5" H x 94" W]. Estimate $6,000-$9,000. And, in furniture, they have a French Empire Mahogany and Gilt Bronze Recamier. French Empire mahogany, gilt bronze and upholstered recamier, French, first half of the 19th century, the green upholstery bearing Napoleon's emblem of the bee, the gracefully shaped outline, elaborately decorated with gilt bronze cornucopia, satyrs, winged lion and hairy paw feet, further enhanced on the sides with ram's heads and classical panels displaying maidens dancing with musical instruments, the foot board bearing an gilt bronze swan. [37" H x 82" L x 34". Estimate $6,000-$9,000, a Palatial Antique French Bombe Commode, Large Antique French bombe commode, beveled and serpentine marble top above a bronze mounted bombe shaped commode with two half drawers over two full drawers, heavy bronze mounts including side bearded man and lion faced paw feet. Case in all parquetry and cross banded inlaid, estimate $3,000 -$5,000 and an English Two Part Japanned Chest on Elaborate Stand, Antique English Japanned two-door chest opening to multiple drawers, with Japanned figures and flower paintings on black lacquer, atop a highly elaborately carved gilt stand base of angels and crests and high gilt carved legs. Early 19th century. [62" H x 49" W x 24" D], estimate $4,000-$6,000.
