GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY presented over 800 lots at their July 25th, 2026 Multi-Estates Auction, their first sale of the summer season. A unique collection of Art Deco furnishings and Decorative items from a private New York City collector were some of the top sellers of the day, while Fine and Contemporary Art once again took the main stage with a strong presence at Roland.

The group of Art Deco/Mid-Century decorative items, all from a private Manhattan collection got much of the attention, with the actual top seller of the day being an exquisite Art Deco RCA Victor Television console, 1st half 20th century, waterfall design in mahogany and ribbed dark wood trim, that sold for $18,200, a very unique Sparton Model 5470 Tube Radio Art Deco chrome table-top radio, circa 1940's, with red Bakelite mounts and clear push button knobs, went for $845 and an After Paul T. Frankl "Skyscraper" Bookcase, two-part display bookcase, in skyscraper manner, circa 1950's, with ebonized trim on mahogany, open front and side compartments, with front and side drawers, base doors on stepped base, sold for $5200.

A Cartier Silver, Gold, Leather & Lapis Travel Clock, Cartier silver, gold, blue leather and lapis lazuli easel back travel clock, French, circa 1925, marked on the gold chapter ring, on twice on the case, dial signed Cartier France, easel numbered 172 or 182?, sold for $4225 and a Louis Vuitton Boite Flacons Vanity Case, circa 1930s, with brass hardware, leather trim, removable fitted tray. From the Collection of Susan and Cliff Freeman, went for $1300.

The large selection of art being offered at Roland once again took the main stage, with a Gaston Andre (French 1884 - 1970), Large oil on canvas, Art Deco study of Palm trees. Signed upper right, dated '30, Paris, selling for $8450, an Aiden Lassell Ripley (American, 1896-1969) "Dawn on the Marsh" watercolor with a duck hunter and dog in a landscape, signed A. Lassell Ripley to lower left, and with a label from The Sporting Gallery and Bookshop Inc. New York City, Provenance from the Finlayson family, Long Island, going for $7150, an Anne Bachelier (French, b. 1943) "Les Secrets, Les Silences," oil on canvas, undated, signed to lower right and to reverse with title, in a gilt frame. From the esteemed collection of Neil Zukerman former owner of CFM Gallery, which sold for $2925 and an Eitaro Ishigaki (Japanese/American, 1883-1958) oil on panel scene with two figures and a gun, 1938, signed Ishigaki to upper right with date, in a frame. From the Collection of Susan and Cliff Freeman, selling for $1820.

Additionally, a Joan Miro (Spain, 1893-1983) hand-painted vase, 1952, made in collaboration with Mutua Artigas, signed Miro to one side, further signed to base with date and Artigas, sold for $6500 and a Gloria Elies Bronze of a Horseman, Gloria Elies (Canadian, 1923-2013) bronze sculpture of a figure on horseback, signed to lower at one side, sold for $1950.


Wallace Sir Christopher sterling silver flatware service. Est $2,500 USD - $3,500 USD. Sold for $4,875.

In other areas, a Wallace "Sir Christopher" sterling silver flatware service, comprising twelve dinner knives, twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, twelve bouillon spoons, twenty-four teaspoons, and twelve flat butter spreaders, marks to handles, sold for $4,875, a John F. Kennedy, Signed Book & Letter. Autographed edition of Profiles in Courage by John F. Kennedy, signed to front page with personal inscription. With additional correspondence and documentation, including a signed letter from 1950. Property from the William A. Glaser Collection, sold for $5,850, and an autographed edition of The Evolution of Physics by Albert Einstein and Leopold Infeld, inscribed to front page "A. Einstein 53". Property from the William A. Glaser Collection, went for $3900.
