NEW YORK, NY.- Friends of the High Line welcomes the public to share feedback and help decide what the seventh and eighth High Line Plinth commissions will be.

Throughout the summer, the High Line is sharing proposals that are being considered for the future of the High Line Plinth—a landmark destination for public art on the High Line at 30th Street and 10th Avenue. Sixty-one artists and collectives from 37 countries and all corners of the United States have submitted a total of 62 proposals to be considered for the seventh and eighth Plinth commissions, which will be installed in 2029 and 2030, respectively. These artists were nominated by an international advisory committee of artists, curators, and arts professionals convened by High Line Art. In fall 2026, High Line Art will select a shortlist of artists to move to the next stage of the proposal process. These artists will be invited to present maquettes of their proposals in a public exhibition in early 2027.

Public feedback is integral to the Plinth process. Your reactions, thoughts, and input—shared via the comment box on each proposal webpage and social media—will go directly to High Line Art’s curatorial team to help inform their selection of twelve shortlisted artists.

The Plinth was inaugurated with Simone Leigh’s Brick House in 2019, and has since featured works by Sam Durant, Pamela Rosenkranz, Ivn Argote, and currently, Tuan Andrew Nguyen.
