WESTLAKE, TX.- Gallery 19C is pleased to announce Emily Mohan as Gallery Manager. In this role, she oversees the gallery’s daily operations, exhibition programming, communications, and public engagement, while contributing to its curatorial research, scholarly publications, and editorial initiatives.

Since joining Gallery 19C, Mohan has taken an active role in the development and organization of thematic exhibitions, exploring nineteenth-century European painting in relation to the artistic, social, and cultural developments of the period. Her scholarly contributions include exhibition catalogue essays, individual catalogue notes, and artist biographies.

Beyond her curatorial and editorial work, Mohan oversees the gallery’s communications and publicity efforts, including the development of exhibition advertisements, promotional materials, and digital content. She also coordinates gallery events, cultivates relationships within the Dallas–Fort Worth cultural community, and serves as a point of contact for collectors, scholars, and institutions. Through these initiatives, she helps broaden public engagement with nineteenth-century art.

Mohan earned a B.A. in Art History from the University of Oregon, where her studies emphasized visual analysis, art-historical writing, curatorial research, and museum practice. She received the Marian C. Donnelly Book Prize for excellence in art-historical scholarship and presented her research at the SUNY New Paltz Undergraduate Art History Symposium. She also conducted independent art-historical research in London, studying works in the collections of the National Gallery, Tate Britain, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
