MEXICO CITY.- Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporaneo presents Intense Times, Difficult Times - Painting in New York 1967-1975, on view May 24 - September 9, 2007. Most of the studies of the artistic production from the end of the 60s and beginning of the 70s say little about painting of this period, or they only deal with minimalism (painters such as Robert Ryman, Frank Stella and Brice Marden). However, during these years, several artists explored radical directions. They created new forms and structures, using as a canvas a full room and even the human body. The exhibition was organized by Independent Curators Incorporated, New York, curated by Katy Siegel.
