Brooks Museum Taps Jalfon as New Development Director

MEMPHIS, TN.-The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art announced its new Director of Development, Diane Jalfon. Diane has been a part of the Brooks' team for more than three years as Public Relations and Public Events Manager for the museum. In her previous role, she greatly expanded the museum's public programs, including films, concerts, and special events.

Diane received her B.A. in Communications from Ohio State University and her M.A. in Art History from the University of Memphis. She currently serves on the board of the Temple Israel Museum and has previously served as a board member of the Art Museum at the University of Memphis and the Memphis Arts Festival. Diane has extensive experience in fundraising events, having chaired several events for local arts organizations over the years. She is a member of the Leadership Memphis 2008 Executive Program class.

Museum Director Kaywin Feldman states, "We are all thrilled to have Diane on board as Director of Development. Her energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the Brooks are infectious. I know that she will make a real difference in her new role."

"I'm looking forward to this new challenge on behalf of the museum. The Brooks is an extraordinary institution that does so much to enhance the lives of our community. The leadership, staff, donors, and volunteers are truly outstanding and I look forward to building on the current foundation as well as working with new supporters of the museum," states Jalfon.

Founded in 1916, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art is the oldest and largest art museum in Tennessee. A nonprofit institution with less than 15% of its budget provided by government funding, the museum relies on private funding to meet operating costs and expenses.
