CARINTHIA, AUSTRIA.- The "World Bodypainting Festival ®". A get together of body-artists was held from the 16th – 22nd July, amidst the mountains and lakes in the south of Austria. Imagine a painter who can create an image from an idea in the fullness of colour, design and expression, and then imagine this artist asking their canvas to sing, dance or scream.

Bodypainters from around the world celebrated the ten year anniversary of the World Bodypainting Festival in Seeboden in July 2007 and explored the themes “Chaos vs Control” and “In the years 2525…”. Once again artists from around 40 Nations – including Australia, China, South Korea, Canada, USA, Argentina, South Africa and more – came to this impressive Event. The festival is the best gallery in the world for artists to exhibit their bodyart work.

The Lake Millstätter region's scenery is the stage, where bodies are boldly put on show, and each artist has the opportunity to show their own specialities - bodies painted with many different materials and techniques, and sometimes combined with the most fantastic costumes, masks and show effects.
