MADRID, SPAIN.- Seventy portraits made by prestigious international photographs show the many artistic possibilities of the human body seen from behind. Hidden invites the spectator to discover images of beautiful behinds taken in a suggestive, humoristic, documental and intimate.
Most photographers of all times and all nationalities have taken photographs in their works of that part of the body that has been a cult motive in our society. Same as the face of persons becomes a visual axis of the front portrait, observing the rear of the person, the behind becomes the protagonist.
This exhibition has been entirely produced by the Canal Foundation and an exquisite collection of photographs made since the beginning of the 20th century to the present with different styles, focuses and treatments.
Hidden will present works by Capa, Cartier- Bresson, Mapplethorpe, Man Ray, Lucien Clergue, etc., and from Spain Joan Colom, Rafael Navarro, Ramón Masats, Isabel Muñoz, Cristina García Rodero and Carlos Pérez Siquier, among others; to a total of seventy great national and international artists. The exhibition opens on October 2 in the exhibition hall of the Canal Foundation.
