JAMAICA, NY.- Queens Library’s Board of Trustees and Director Thomas W. Galante announced the opening of a new Gallery Exhibit on October 9: Line (Drawing). Call the Gallery for more details, for a reception invitation and to RSVP: 718-990-8665.

Line (Drawing) explores the conceptual and formal qualities of line found in a variety of media that relate to and expand upon the conventional idea of drawing.

This exhibit gathers contemporary examples of mark-making and looks at how drawing practice today has expanded from the traditional push and pull of stylus on paper to an extended engagement with line by way of installation, collage, performance and photography. The exhibition was organized by Juliana Driever, Curator of the Queens Library Gallery. Participating Artists: Lishan Chang, Charles Kelton, Jana Leo, Pia Lindman, Doreen McCarthy, Jose Ruiz, Carol Warner.
