DORAL, FL.- Museum of the Americas announced de one person exhibition by Ai-Wen Wu Kratz (November 9, December 1, 2007). Ai-Wen Wu Kratz, of Chinese origin, holds a BFA degree in Painting and Mathematics, and an MFA degree in Painting and Printmaking. She is an alumna of two prestigious U.S. institutions, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and Cranbrook Academy of Art.

Wu Kratz, a painter and photographer, was a recipient of scholarships and awards. She was praised by critics for her ‘wide range of competence’ and ‘standard of excellence.’ She was recognized for her remarkable command with lines. She taught at the University of Missouri under the name of Josephine Wu.. She had solo exhibitions in the U.S., France, Germany, England and Egypt. Her works are in collections in Canada, Germany, China and the U.S., including the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, St. Louis, MO.

She is one of the winners in “Call To Artists”, Washington D.C. Metro Area, for the 2008 special exhibition events in Gaithersburg, MD. Her works are featured, with a Juror’s Award, in the 2007 “Artists In Our Midst,” at the Southern Alleghenies Museum, PA. She was also one of the award recipients in “Women In The Arts 2007” at the Museum Of The Americas. Wu Kratz, a long-time resident of Washington D.C., currently works and lives in DuBois, PA. She has been accepted to the Drawing Marathon program at the New York Studio School in New York for January, 2008.

Wu Kratz is among the featured artists in the book, “100 Contemporary International Artists", by the European Communities Artists' Library of Barcelona, Spain. The publication is to be distributed at “Lineart 2007”, the international art fair in Gent, Belgium at the end of November 2007.

A One-Person Exhibition of her works in Painting, Drawing and Photography are to be on view from November 9th through December 1st 2007 at the Museum of the Americas.
